Do we know if the ExComm has met yet to decide? I am thinking they have not since no one has chimed in and said one way or another. Dawn Sanchez??? Anyone?????

I have asked the committee's to submit their recommendations no later than 9/30 so the Excom has time to discuss the options available and research information the committee's used to make the determinations by the time of the Fall meeting, which is the last weekend of October.
Typically, the announcements for nationals for the following year are made early to mid November, when each track host (there are 10!) can confirm the dates and expectations on both sides of the event. (Host and ROAR's expectations)
I know that is short time for the carpet events typically held in March.... although the bidding hosts are very aware of this when they bid. Most people who expect to travel to these events are also aware and ROAR will do everything possible to make the Carpet announcements as quick as possible.

All thought I'm not a spokesperson for ROAR I do know what the hold up was and is.It called the fires that were in California. See the meeting was cancelling because of the fires. Trying to reschedule the EXECs again is the problem.since they fly to Califorina for the meeting. I was told they they were going to do something else and as soon as they can get it done everything will be posted.So when it's done it will be posted.

The info I got was that they wanted to get all the 2007 nationals over before making desicion but that made no sence. What did make sence to me was they (EXCOM) are having a conferance call this week to discuss he recomended sites

I know that ROAR doesn't owe us anything but you would think an announcement of some kind would be made soon even if it's just when they will announce the date. They said mid November and that has passed. We all know it's going to be in March so for people that need to put in their vacation time should at least get a firm date. Or is this going to be like the Washington Outdoor Nationals where everything was done at the last minute and shuffled around for convienent travel schedules. I don't need to be reminded that the facility chosen was out of business, blah, blah. This is weak.
