2008 Roar Nationals

I know some of the 2007 nationals might not have even been run yet but anyone know when roar will let us know the 2008 national info.

Nope

Bids were due in at the end of August. When do they typically announce next year's races ?

You could also PM Dawn Sanchez and see if she knows when they will announce.

I know that www.mikeshobbyshop.com in Dallas TX put in for the carpet Nats. Hopefully they get it, Mike has a top notch/huge facility:nod:

I just sent Dawn an email so we'll see if she knows yet.

Mike Boylan put in a bid to have the carpet nats in Largo Florida at the Minnreg building. Home of the 99 and 2000 carpet nats as well as the off road worlds a few years ago. Nice place. Plenty of indoor pitting. Great place to have another nats.

ROAR would be crazy not to accept this bid. Great facility and great promoter; this is what ROAR needs!

Dawn replied and said it would be determined

" After fall meeting of excom... About early November "

Hopefully the 2008 Carpet On-Road Nats are in the East for 2008 since it's been in the West and Mid-West the last few years.

the nats rotate dont they ?

West coast 2 years ago, then midwest thispast year and this year would probably be on the east coast.

The committee members have not seen the bids to make our recomendation yet. You'll have to wait like the rest of us-After the fall excom meeting.

Brandon Melton 09-24-2007 04:31 PM

I may be incorrect, but I believe the Gate in Cleveland and "The Track" in Maryland also put in for the carpet nationals, or so I heard. With Minnreg that gives at least 3 East Coast tracks to choose from.

Keith Billanti 09-24-2007 04:39 PM

Gate is midwest.

They should just keep the nats in the east, where the carpet racers are:lol:

Kidding.
