Listen , we thought, and thought about it, but until Roar and Usvta are using the same rules, it would be a cry and complain fest.
We tried running Vta at the 2011 asphalt nats and we couldn't fill a heat with our locals and the out of towners.
We think the classes that are being run will make this one of the most exciting and one of the most prestigious Roar nats.
This Roar nats are being put together by racers, and national level racers I think(lol). So we have a pretty good idea what racers want. It'll be a lot of fun, and thats what the nats should be

( Since 13.5 TC is available but is an "exhibition class" , it makes this rule less than perfectly clear ! )

That being said , thanks for posting the classes. They look good, I hope to make this race !

Cheers,

Jake D.
Nice to hear from you, hope you can make it.

We'll have a answer sooner than later to clarify things

Isn't 13.5 dead? Wouldn't it make more sense not to offer it and fill up the other classes? I guess the person who wins will be the National "champ"... lol..

Just wondering..... good luck to all!!

Has anyone confirmed that you cannot run stock and mod classes at this race? That will play big into peoples class choices regarding Mario's question above.

Got ur answer. You can't run 17.5 and mod.. You can run 17.5 and 13.5 or can run 13.5 and mod. Hope that clarifies things

We wanted the classes that would draw the most entries. In December for our Toys for tots race we had nearly 30 13.5 12th scales.

there isnt a need to be mean or bash any class...that goes for VTA racers and non-VTA...you dont see the F1 guys bent out of shape...

Thanks to ROAR for having VTA at past ROAR events and we hope to get back in there again soon...

And yes, the USVTA Southern Nationals and the Scale Nationals are our Super Bowls of VTA...and new Championship races catering to VTA all the time that will have plenty of support for USVTA racers...

Hope the ROAR Carpet Nats are a great event and that its alot of fun...cya soon

Dead? Since when? The Superstock classes have always been strong on the rug at the big events.
