the diode is has a higher amp rating the stock diode. similar to the super diode from KO.

Default Handsetting Adapter to PC Interface

FYI- The handsetting adapter can NOT Tx nor Rx data from the PC interface and also the other way around.

The size of it is the same if not smaller than the new 302 reciver, also it has a lot more programing options that can be done
