Ok. Thanks for the heads up. They were IB cells. I tried the ep cells but on oval they dont seem to have the up front times.

Joe- I have researched your orders and left a message for you on your machine. First to address your concerns about turn around time on your orders. I have looked up your past two orders that were placed and they both shipped the next day from the date of order receipt. This last order took longer to get to you because you chose ground shipping for your shipping method. You are 5-6 day ground from us. If you ever need them sooner please be sure to up-grade your shipping choice.

As far as your dead cell. You are more than welcome to send the pack back (we will refund your shipping to get it to us) to us for cell replacement, or I can send you a replacement cell. Either way is fine you just let me know what you want to do. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have concerns or problems we will gladly address any issues you are experiencing.

Promatch cells make up for lack of motor power, they make weak a motor come alive. You will always find somebody in the A-main with Promatch cells.

I ordered 2 pre-assembled ep4200 packs a couple of weeks ago. I used them this weekend for the HRH Offroad Shootout. They performed great, except that I had battery bars come apart a couple of times. One during practice, one during qualifying, and another during the mains. After adding a little more solder they seem to be a stronger. I have never had this problem with other packs I have soldered. Just wanted to bring this to your attention.

I use deans connectors which came soldered already. I am thinking that the packs were not seated all the way down in my xxx-cr and mf2.

wierd. the only time I have had the problem is if I heat the solder tab too much when attaching the pack to my speedo or if I over gear and run the motor and batts too hot.

It may be have been a couple of bad joints. It does happen from time to time as with anything where there is human hands involved there can be human error. I wouldn't think it is something you will see often. I am sure PMRGirl will comment as well on the problem; sorry you had problems.

First I want to say that we are not exempt from error!! The most important thing to remember is that our soldering process uses a minimal amount of solder. The purpose of solder is to provide a bond between the cell and the bar not for the strength of the pack. Solder is a horrible conductor so the theory that less is more definitely applies. It is very important to secure your battery pack tightly in your vehicle so not to rely on the solder joints for strength. On the joints that you have had come off just use a good hot soldering iron and as little solder as possible to re-secure your bars.

AE thumb screws work the best, ever since I switched from body clips that problem went away. They hold the battery firmly, my soldering jobs suck. We now use Pro-match and they never break even in offroad.
