Thumbs up Re: v12's front oneway.

I just received my Front oneway built by v12's friend Jurgen.I must say.If there is one thing that is gonna help beside the tech racing setup, this oneway has helped immensly.I have tested it so far without stripping.I have purposely put it through situatuations that would cause the ring gear to strip.Nothing.Its built exactly like a oneway from yokomo. The gear is now being completely supported by the backing plate that is part of the oneway itself. So the ring gear is mounted on the opposite side of the gear now.The gear is recessed and Jurgen did an excellent Job on the machining the oneway to fit flush with the back of the ring gear itself. Its a perfect fit.I don't see myself stripping another gear unless its an extremely hard crash at full throttle.I now see there may be a problem stripping out the pinion gear instead.I hope not.I will kepp thrash testing this oneway and let you know how it holds up.Its very promising!
I have also had one of these oneway units off Jurgan and it is great I've run it for four indoor meetings now (with a few VERY hard crashes) and no gear problems at all, the oneway gear is like new no sign of any tooth damage. Jurgan is also going to make a spool of the same design which should be very good aswell

I think you'll find that the gear was an old one just to show how it fits.

Hello All...

I just though i would post the current specs of the part that Charlie mentioned earlier. as we have gotten many mails about the part since Charlie released that it even existed.

The Production on this part will begin Next week and should be ready for delivery early the following week around the 13th/14th though possibly earlier.

We have figured out the Price and the Part# which are:

We will have a purchase link on our website shortly under the Tamiya Quickshop section of our website:

http://www.penguinrc.com/ordering/qu...quickshop.html

Payment via this method is by PayPal.

Speedtech r/c will also be getting some of the first parts.

Orders that are placed before release will be shipped promply upon completion whether that be the date stated above or prior to that.

Anyway if you have any Questions please feel free to ask.

i got my surikarn edition

blue will be for special occations, or even the other way around

so ive decided i might not do the TC3 mod anymore and go with the Tech Racing 3 piece centre shaft, anyone got any result? Does it stop the stripping and how does it work on the transmission? is it free'er?

thanks

i shouldnt think it will improve anything performance wise b cause the rotational mass is more.
