These are added because there was a change during the production when the bearing size was changed for the nylon standard steeringblocks. So everybody that had a 811 car (old or new) could use them without buying new bearings. I hope this helps.

thanks so much that's brilliant.

You have to use the 600121 Brake adjuster that says option on it rather than the one that says 50/50. The small shims are for fine tuning. Keep in mind that when you use this option that no mater what the rear brake will hit first. The less shims you have the later the front brake will kick in. All in all it's pretty much useless though, and as stated above. Personally I use the ABS feature w/ endpoints set to my liking on my transmitter. Hope this helps.

You don't need to worry about that. I run without the rear brake disc and pads fitted (less weight and rotating mass). The brake bias doesn't work at all on the GT because there is no centre diff like a buggy! So it's a pointless thing to adjust as you only end up making the rear brake ineffective anyway.

Anybody seen the SRX8 GT prototype and wonder when serpent will release it?

I've always only run my GT car with the front brake disc and pads. I remove the rear brake disc and pads and all linkages to save weight because it doesn't really do anything useful. The front brake disc and pads is more than enough on the 3.1 car.

Yes because for me it is better for several reasons to use the front disc not the rear. It makes removal and installation of the 2-speed assembly much easier too as not having the rear disc in gives more clearance.

I agree. I took the rear disk out at first because I was using the Nova buggy clutch for a bit (It has a slightly bigger flywheel so it touched the rear disc) and figured that I would just use the front disk only. Plus the front disk is larger than the rear. I haven't had the opportunity to drive it like this and the only thing that concerns me is the break leaver coming out because the barrel that holds it in is removed.
