What I've read no. The motor was angled at 15 deg to bring the COG back to center. The 801 was a pretty awesome looking buggy to bad parts availability was bad.

Hmm nice so ofna hyper series got that from the tamiya boys to angle the engine inwards!

ETA would be nice! This has completely haulted a a new big RC purchase I was going to make this spring. New Kit, servos, etc...

There are actually a couple of people who have done this. I think the first was an Italian company named Bergonzoni. I might be off on this, but that is the first time I remember seeing in on a buggy.

Yep looks to not be a teckno body, as I doubt they would make one with a hole for the throttle horn :P
