???

Evan,
Might be the piston and sleeve is worn out. Or maybe the low speed needle is to lean. Or airleak in the tank. Could be many things. Pull starting? When ya do get it running, those motors like to run hot.

which one is the low speed needle, is that the one where the fuel comes in?, or is that the one that is on the throttle? do you know how much the piston and sleeve is if the needle setting doesnt work? I have this motor on a duratrax evader... if I lower it and and put good tires on it will it be a good drag truck?

Evan,
The low speed needle is on the front of the carburator. The screw under the ballcup where the throttle linkage connects. How much did you pay for the motor? I don't know the parts price. You should be able to get it to run good enough for bashing though as is. For drag, I'd think lower it and stiffen up the rear suspension.

Thanks for the info, I will try that but right now it is late and I have school tomorrow so it will be a while. I paid around $50. I got it from a family member off of a Tmaxx. I think I have a pretty good setup for drag but I will have pics of it tomorrow. Do you know if they make a better battery box for it. I got mad and threw the truck and it broke it. (im sick and it was late!)
