It's nice to see they included the aluminum ball stud mount. The only other necessary upgrade is the turnbuckles.

Just got announced an hour ago...it will definitely get its own thread...

And I don't know where you race but We just had to start a second heat of ST on Wednesday nights, Open and 13.5 superstock...each gets 6-10 entries per night. Its one of the growing classes along with 4wheel buggy

Mid-Wisconsin. We get roughly 100 entries a night, and about 3 ST's..we have a competitive stock SCT class and our biggest class is obviously mod buggy.

I'm wondering if they will just release the mid motor kit only and just sell a rear motor conversion kit for those that want that option.

The parts listing for the T5M indicates a V2 4 gear transmission case. says it's for the T5M but has B5m in the wording. What was updated on the V2?

Good catch. Maybe a geometry change for more rear bias while still mid motor (allowing the mid motor to work when it traditionally wouldn't - a la X Factory).

I drove my boys t4.2 today. The first since my rustler 15 years ago. Really nice truck. I was actually impressed with how it handles. Luckily the st class here is about 15 drivers strong. I put one on preorder also. Can't wait to run it.

My "guess" is, the slightly altered the mesh of the gears. The tranny says it will fit the B5M also. I like that the truck comes with low friction rings, alum topshaft and alum ballstud mount. With the B5M being out a year, I kinda thought that the ST would be a FT since all of the parts exist now.....

Could be. Looking at the side view of the new transmission, it doesn't appear to be drastically different. I wonder if it is a rolling change? My B5M is just a month old and has the same gears as pictured in the T5M transmission. Too lazy to go to my hobby room and check the top shaft...
