How to reduce the punch on my Nova .12 PT
Dear all I have a Novarossi .12 PT with a Capricorn muffler kit EFRA2662 and really wish to tame a bit more the bottom end.
Basically we have a track with lots of Chicanes so can't have the rear all over the place due to much power once I hit the throttle.
I have already tried a higher 1st to reduce the punch and my clutch gap is .30 with med spring but engine still rips the tires.
Any suggestioms

Throttle control, the trigger is not a light switch. Also, some exp on the radio can help.
Also, set-up changes to help get the power down can really help the lap times. Forward bite is a must. Try some more rear toe-in, or softer rear springs or less rear bar, etc. etc.

Tech Master
use soft centex spring, reduce the free gap or add 0.1mm shim to the the engine also can reduce the punch.

Can I play with a muffler setup maybe use a different model, is there any muffler combo you would recommend.

Add an extra headshim
Lower the nitro content
use a short manifold
set the LSN a bit richer

That will give me more run time i guess aswell?
set the LSN a bit richer doesn't work as you loose throttle response.
Wish to try a shorter manifold but since i am using the Capricorn muffler kit don't know what to go for.

Harder clutch shoe (yellow not red), increase rear toe in, increase front diff oil (try 300k or spool), conical washers for clutch spring--once get hot (4 laps) power feels more linear with conical washers.
