I've got a Ko Propo PDS-2143 Hi Speed servo that has got 111oz/8kg of torque...can i use it as a throttle servo for my 1/8 GP buggy?

How fast is it?
http://www.acehobby.com/ace/index.htm
That's Ace's website. The servo's are on the right hand side of the page. And looking at the spec's again, tht's the torque and speed at 4.8v, not 6.0volts.

Most commonly used over at our side of the globe is the Sanwa(Airtonics) ERG-VB/ZB, for it's high torque & reliability.
It would be advisable to take note & avoid the below servo at all cost. Was rather apprehensive about the too good to believe price & specs., so to find out how good you have to try it first right ?. We bought a few pieces & 1 of them failed within a 7 mins heat runtime. Turn it on & you hear the so-called 'digital chattering'. Steer left or right 'full lock' & the servo horn moves to the end & instead of stopping at the end point, it moves back & forth 2 ~ 3 mm a few times before it stops. Same thing happened when used on the throttle(as a bonus you get ABS braking effect ). We have dumped the rest aside.
TOWER PRO MG-945

9351 Steering 192oz .13@6v
9350 Throttle 138oz .12@6v
I run these in a TTR S3 Excellent choice
But you couldnt go wrong w/Airtronics 94358/59 Steering and 94357 Throttle either thats what I run in Unlimited...

And you want speed for the response. That's why I liked the Hitec's and I am running the Ace servo's now. Even better spec's on 4.8 volts that the Airtronics at 6.0v. and cheaper too. To me that's a no brainer.

My Ko Propo PDS-2143 Hi Speed servo is 0.08 S @ 60 at 6v...good enough to use as a throttle servo?
#27
ko pds-2433 for steering. 200oz of torque at .13 6v. You can also just buy the plastic gear instead of buying a hole new gear set. $5 for a package of 4 i believe. Major bonus! I just bought the futaba futaba 9451 for the throttle servo, very nice. I've kind of steered away from Airtronics latley, i always seem to have centering issues with them.

That's a good enough servo for throttle or steering. A little more torque would be nice for the steering but that is adequate.
