I was putting together the front gear box/diff and used the shims ae suggested in the maunal but found the gear mesh too tight.is this normal?i think it would create excessive wear? i moved the gear outward 2 shims and the pinion i removed one shim it feels a lot better.just curious what others are doing.i would also guess you need to re shim everything after a few runs as well?since the gears are plastic

Has anyone tried running the sway bar yet? i'm gonna try it out this weekend

Do not change B44 gear shimming.
ATTENTION: Do not change from the stock shimming.
The gears are plastic and will break in, removing all the little imperfections on the teeth that make it seem tight. If you loosen up the gear mesh for when the gears are new, it will be too loose once you run the car and you will probably break gears.
Do trim away any flashing on the back side of the drive pinions.

he's right, my front gears seemed way too tight but instead of removing the shims i let it go and ran a pack and right after that the gears smoothed out to a perfect mesh.

ok i will run it at the stock setting then and re check it after 2 packs

[QUOTE=t4ftracer;3834155]
No center available yet that I know of for the B44. I am still running the BJ4 for now and don't ever run a one way.
The whole team has been using no one way on the BJ4 for a year or so. If a one way is ever used, it is the center one. The front hd ntc3 one way is totally out of the question as far as I am concerned. It makes the car way too aggressive. The two diff, no one way set up is also better for brakes. You can drive deeper in to the corners and stop since all 4 wheels have brakes.QUOTE]
So I'm gonna hold off on the front one-way, but where can I get the center one?

How does a center 1 way work?How would the braking system work on a center 1 way?
#761
you turn it down so it dont spin you out whne applying the brakes, works similar as a 2wd off power

anybody else noticed all the trick alu (tower holders, castors and centre mounts etc etc ) and carbon parts (battery strap) already in the pending orders fr the B44?
