That is actually called a side exhaust engine.

Kamakaze is correct, that is a side exhaust setup. You are getting a bit confused because it exits out of the rear of the car. The rear exhaust we refer to here is the position of the exhaust port on the engine block. When the exhaust comes out directly opposite the crank, its a rear exhaust. If the exhaust comes out 90 degrees from the crank, is a side exhaust. You are going to need a new pipe and header. The stock setup you have right now does not perform well at all and will rob you of power. If you really want to use that exhaust, you will want somthing like this in a motor.

That engine is overkill, why can he not go with the HPI 18? It should drop right in and he would be able to use the same exhaust.

He had another thread where he wanted to drop a .21 or the fastest engine he could get. Wanted to go really fast. I was just trying to answer him. I posted in the other thread that the OS .18 would be overkill too.
