Wow...looks cool! I just saw the post on RedRC . I really like the design solutions you came up with...I hope it does well!

Great to see the revival of the nice "cigar" F1's.
I still race from time to time with the masterpiece body's original created by Manny. Now with a hard to see black rear spoiler, it is just as fast as the regular F1's.And everyone loves it.

spec a 25.5 and gearing and ill run it . or make it 1cell 21.5 or something ... it needs to be driveable if the class is too fast it will die due to destroyed cars catch the sweeper one time at speed and its done ...
so i say 1cell 21.5 no minimum weight no stupid body weight either.... like the vta tires on it as well.

The Fenix solution is different from the VF1 club. The VF1 cars were over top ultra detailed cars with VTA rims and tires. Beautiful works of art but targeted to a smaller select group of racers with specific skills and philosophies. The Fenix car is for the masses and and doesn't deviate much from a standard F1. It isn't going to fold in half in a crash nor does it require special rules. It uses normal F1 tires and everything else but just requires a shorter battery. You could run it with standard F1's under the same rules if needed.

So, I guess you've built and driven the car? How does it fare with today's "conventional" F1 cars?

KE4, I stated the obvious regarding it's design and said nothing about its performance vs standard F1s. Just trying to clear up some developing confusion.

I too am interested in the price point and where to purchase in the U.S. I've always wanted a RC F1. I'd use it for a shelf queen, even without electrics.
