Default Fenix Classique 60ís Formula car kit

I know this is already in the California thread but it deserves more exposure!

I think Fenix used good design solutions to make this car a reality. The front bumper doesn't ruin the scale appearance and the rear suspension design is very clean. LOL, this might be the F1 I've been waiting for. I love it.

So... vintage class. Make it a drivers class, with some motor that needs throttle control everywhere but the straight. :-) Like the real things.

Thanks a lot David
I'll post here all the news regarding the Classique.
Let me say that the public presentation at the Nurburgring cannot be more iconic...

There was a super event, the first EOS, Euro Reedy Race and the ETS warmup, all in the same venue, inside the Nurburgring, on which, there was the ADAC Cup, with Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari....
Tons of horsepower... in both 1/1 and 1/10

Fenix Classique

As you might have seen from the Redrc pics, we choose to stay more "scale" than usual F1, 250mm wheelbase is a proper representation of the late 60 wheelbase.
Also, the idea was to have something more resemblant, so the body is made of several parts, with the lower part "closing" the chassis.
The nose, might be fixed either to lower or to the upper body.
All the carbon fibre parts are 2.5mm,
Dual pivot Tbar, with side springs and no shocks just dampers.
The idea behind, is to spend more time driving than wrenching, a fun class
Super shorty lipo are the only battery which will fit in the car

Few laps, with 21.5 fixed endbell, no timing esc, Ride R1 tires.

I believe we could start to delivery Classique in a couple of weeks.

Stay tuned!

21.5... Well that's not as nuts as I was proposing, but it's definitly going to be snappier than the 25.5 that's common with F1 now. I wanna try.

In Europe we can choose quite a wide range of tracks.
Parts of the test was made in track outdoor, Small for 1/8 IC and big for 1/10...

During the test in that track, the car show a nice rear sliding in the fast turn at the end of the straight.
A sort of "slow sliding", if I can say so, defintely reminiscent the real 60 F1.

I'm sold. If ever there was a good reason to buy a new R/C car this is it!

All you need to convince me is to come up with a shark nose version of the body!

So who would be seller in the States, or is this an overseas order only?

Really wish there were F1 tires that worked on unprepared surfaces,

they didnít this summer but last year a couple guys ran 21.5 in F1. I think Leisure Hours has previously allowed it due to the size of their track. Not sure if currently do. Hasnít been much F1 out there lately, from what Iíve seen on LiveRC

With no "aero" assist, it would be a "drivers class" no matter what motor you put in it...

There was a big vintage F1 movement about 7 or 8 years ago. Do a search find find Big Al's Lotus 49. The maker of the body also did a Ferrari nose and a Gurney Eagle nose.
