yes, I run the lrp 2900 lcg. I also run a 25g steel plate under it, then my car is 1010g
car works great this way just feels more responsive, not more nervous. I prefer the lcg battery for a track layout with many chicanes, of course I then have to add 40g, and I do, 20g on the rear of the pod and 20g near servo, our rules are 1050g
I do run the battery sideways as well.
Are you running it inline? I could see it being nervous that way

Hi,
I've bought a useg X1 '16 and I have a qustion about the damper piston.
I'm looking for the 1,3 mm 3 hole piston. The kit piston's are marked 1.0, 1.1 and 1,2 do I need to drill the holes up to 1.3 or where can I find that one?

I am new to this class, if I have a chassis tweak, what should I look at first? I have put my X1 15 on the tweak bar and seems like the front end is slightly tweaked. I have have an accident with my car (because I just ran 2 packs of batteries and the car couldn't go straight). The car tents to oversteer on right hand turn.
What is the first thing I should look at to solve my problem?

Common problem. Loosen the bottom front end screws and re-tighten them.

What spur gear should I use if I'm running 21.5, I have the stock 96T right now, but guys from our track is running 90 or 88 on their VBC

You have to compensate by running softer side springs with the LCG pack. With that said, I still prefer running the regular shorty pack.

May I add, you need to use a softer center spring and softer center shock oil.
I am using only the lcg bateries which are about 65-70 g lighter than standard shorties. The car is nimble and once you soften the back end it is not nervous at all. Also it seems to me it responses better (more sensitive) to tuning adjustments. BTW my car is at 980 g with Ride XR tires and 960g with Pits.

It all depends on your Track size that you run on for the FDR. Most of the folks who went to smaller spur gears do so for the reason of moving the motor away from the rear wing. With the larger 96 gear when you roll over or have a wreck the rear wing will most likely contact the spur and bur the spur which will then affect gear mesh and you'll end up stripping the spur in short order. Ive gone down to a 90 and 92 and also made a little notch in the rear wing where it would clear the spur if and when contact could happen.

Roll center
Can somebody explain how the front roll center adjustment works?
I understand the shims change it...but what does adding and removing the shim thickness do to the suspension and to the grip level of the front?
Does is work like tc ...thicker lower arm shim should...in theory raise the roll center (increasing grip)?
Also can I lower the r.c. by adding shims under the front arms?
Can I also add reactive castor by adding offset shims to the upper arm?
