grip/ traction roll
My son ran the MTX2 at the club meeting for the first time on Sunday, started on an old set of rubber tyres stock set-up out of the box, car handled like a dream slight amount of slide in a corner but easily controlled. Changed to a set of new foams for the last few heats & finals car handled even better : ). Only one problem added the rear anti roll bar and the car started to grip roll in some of the slower corners, any suggestions on how to cure the problem.
Set-up is as follows: -
Front end:
Ride height 6mm
Blue springs
4 X 1mm holes in pistons kit 600w oil
Lowest hole on upper shock mount
40 shore foams
4mm droop
Standard diff kit 30000w oil
Anti roll bar fitted blades vertical (max setting)
Rear end
Ride height 6mm
Blue springs
3 X 1mm holes in pistons kit 600w oil
Middle hole on upper shock mount
35 shore foams
8mm droop
Standard diff 5000w oil
Anti roll bar fitted
he loves this car

Try playing around with these things. Harder tires will reduce traction. I usually run 45 shore front/40 shore rear or 42 shore front/37 shore rear. Cutting the tires down will reduce side bite and reduce traction rolling problems. I usually run 62.5mm tire diameter. Also make sure to put a good bevel on the edges of the tires. Finally, try reducing the amount of droop that you are running. I would start off with 2mm front droop and 3mm rear droop and tune from there. Good luck!
