Hi Gents,

I did a setup sheet some time ago for this car, a little trick to get something nice.
Josh'setup is on one of this sheet.

For club racing tracks where the grip was lower I found I had to run a lighter front king pin lube (around 10K) with a little more sag in the front springs. That especially helped with the tight slow speed sections. Also running gold springs on the rear of my car. Blues are easy to drive but the golds just rip the corners. The golds however are very sensitive to how much pre-load you are running on them.

Going for first club race with my Griffin 12 this weekend.

Can folks chime in with recommended rollouts or rollouts they've run for 17.5 on a small technical track with medium traction? I'm currently running 79mm (likely on the high side) from last year which was when I ran a duo 2 13.5. Ran 43/73 with 43mm Rear. I'm running a Duo 1 17.5 btw.

thanks in advance

On a postage stamp size track and lots of tight 180s (50'x30') I was running 78-79mm with 17.5 Duo and Duo 2 motors. At a larger track I think around 80'x40' I was running in the 81-82 mm range.

This was with Tekin Vegas 208 software, I haven't tried the newest version in 1/12th yet this season.

yeah the track I'll run at this weekend is postage stamp sized. Thanks, sounds like I am in the right ball park.

The order is going in this evening for the new CEFX 2010-2011 indoor season t-shirts, sweat shirts and hoodies. If anyone is interested in these please let me know so we can make sure to make enough of the different sizes. Just shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] with the size/style/quantity you are interested in. They are being printed next week so we should have them pretty quick!!

New chassis, brass weights and new steering anouncements coming soon!! Yes, I have been flooded with oval car orders but we are finally getting caught up with those and we are back working on new items for the Evolution.

As well as the Evo, we are starting to look more heavily into our own plastics and molds to get the Griffin kits more complete. Not sure exactly where we will start but the front end, shocks, links and center pivot are all on the list of to-do here very shortly!!

Anyone have pics of the Griffin 10? is this a conversion as well? If so, what parts are necessary for a complete build?

ran the car for the first time in anger this weekend and have to say I was impressed. Need to work on smoothing it out a bit as it's slightly too aggressive at the moment, but that's down to setup and me more than anything else.

A question about my Griffin 12. I've had two instances where the car has taken a hard impact to the left rear (due to hitting the inside of click-trak at the end of a straight going into a right turn). I've had to add a ton of shims to set the Track width from the center point on the pod. The impact seems to just blow the shims right into the bearing, causing the subsequent destruction of the bearing.

Anyone else seen this issue ? Issues with my build ? Never had this issue when I ran a 12R5 last season although the track layout was different.
thanks in advance

Hello There,

I just picked up a used CEFX Griffin 1/12th. Can you tell me how many .020" gold Rear axle shim's can i use to make 1.72mm rear width?

Hey noline, been hoping to find a used one where did you come up with one?
I would just center the axel off the pod and that will give you the proper shims
Thanks
