edit- and a good company/ place to buy the spurs...
Check out PRS, they have the most round and quiet gears that I've run.

Before I forget to ask, can those little plastic spacers inside of the shock (you remember those, don't you? it was a tube with a triangle thingy at the end) be taken out or do I have to install longer shock ends to get my desired ride height?
yea thats the guide for the shock rod. some cut down or cut off the tube part. i just finished building mine and have no trouble getting 5mm ride height plus another 4-5 of droop without cutting.

There's a new bellcrank on the Yokomo japan page but the translation isn't the best. It looks to me like it's shorter and uses a spacer to allow, I'm guessing here, the belt to pass without rubbing on the bellcrank.

looks like maybe the belt will go between the chassis and next to the little spacer thingy,

given the choice between a older lrp 7.1 and a gt7, which one would you use in mod/stock. this will only be for a weekend or two. using the bd for mod, a sdw for stock, wide open flowing track. 9x2 for mod.

Just some advise put that peice back on now......go with the 84 and get the right pinion....
Just my opinions but what do I know....LOL

... some friends of mine used a 120T spur, but had to remove some material from the brace...

i agree with the final drive ratio of 7 for the monster stock... i think this is the magic number for this motor...

Matt- I know you probably don't know, but do you know when that new bellcrank will be available to us here in the states? Thanks, and sorry for being "that guy" who asks the dumb questions.

You are correct Matt.. it allows for the belt to pass by the steering post without rubbing should be out here soon...in a week or two

It usually takes a week or two after an item is released in Japan for Yokomo USA to get it. So if it's gonna be a week or two before it's release in japan like Dave says then probably a month for the release in the states.

that's pretty cool they're including the new bellcranks with the new kits. Although I still believe it's more of a "cosmetic" problem more than anything.

Definately just a cosmetic problem as I cant see it taking any time off my laps, although I wouldnt be angry if the new piece helped shave another .1 or .2 seconds off my lap
