I don't understand your statement. So you got a used car and that was your first run. And you noticed oversteer mid corner. And all other cars "you have encountered"- does that mean you have driven or you have seen?- ALSO oversteer mid corner. But yours is on power and the others are off power?

So what is the "play" like on this car? I assume you can adjust the play(slop) on the pivot balls but what about the rest of the chassis?

Play is not really significant anywhere. Some slop on steering rack just like any other car. Since 4x uses pivot balls in uprights, if you don't tighten the nylon screws to fixate the balls well, there will be play there. Pillow balls and ball joints are pretty tight fit that you may have to pinch the joints or burn with lighter a bit in some of them.

Looks like my LHS (Action Hobbies Kingsville) will get signed up with the Serpent dealer so the 4x Evo will be added to my arsenal

And as soon you decide they make radical changes... Entire suspension assembly is raised up to match typical touring car role centre positions I assume. New hubs and both lower and upper arm are much higher now - only on the rear apparently.

I think the arms remain identical, it is just the rear hub which is now different from the front one. And with this new part, you will have to mount the arm closer to the center if you want to use the same arms...

Ok going to assume the shocks will fit the old 4X, also which length control rod is the correct one, to fit to the first gen car. Going to fit the new parts to mine, control rods being most important.
