We have had some delays due to the track being closed for the recent NASCAR weekend and the rainy weather recently. I hope you have an announcement in the next 2 weeks.
FYI, when NASCAR is in town, the track area is used by the speedway so everything (driver's stand, track barriers, etc.) has to be moved out of the way. Once NASCAR leaves, it all gets put back together. Lots of work!

Spaces are filling up fast! As of today, the following spots remain:

Modified =10
Expert 13.5 = 20
Sportsman 13.5 = 20

Please note that the allotments for each class may change. For example, Modified may be allocated 13.5 spots if demand calls for it. If you plan in attending, don't wait until the last minute.

If you enter after your desired class is filled, you will be placed on the waiting list in the order that your entry was received.

Will that allotment only go into effect after the deadline for entries? Capping 13.5 on entries before the deadline would suck.

Entries are capped as there are only a specific amount of heats that can be ran in a day before it gets dark. Steel City is a permanent outdoor track that does not have lighting. So just like the previous Reedy events at Tamiya that were filled.... don't wait until the last minute to enter or it might be too late.

The entry system requires a limit for each class to be able to set a limit for the event (170). Our limits are guesses based on previous demand and changes to demand based on the track and the handout system for the spec classes. Our intent is to allow any driver to enter any class they want, up until the 170 limit is reached. So if any single class is "filled" and there are more than 10 spots in either of the other classes, we must take the spots from the class(es) with less demand.

The best way to get a spot is to sign up before the event is full.

I'm sure Rick and the Reedy crew have a few choices selected but need to be tested before any announcements.
