Roelof, how does bankruptcy work in Holland and the rest of the EU? Here in the states bankruptcy doesn't always mean the company is going under but I know nothing about the EU.

So are you going to buy their building? hahaha

As you can see, all is in the hands of a lawer selling the stuff.

Indeed there is the possibillity to start a new company but what seems to be strange to me is that even the brandname and the internet domain name are for sale. That can indicate a new brandname or a unplanned change while restartng a new company.

I wasn't saying that asian parts are cheap. I just believe that parts made in Japan are a somewhat better than the parts made in china. They even feel a little better.

90% of RC parts are made in asia anyway and it will probably be benificial to us because of the dollar value in europe.

But as you can see, Paolo is the owner of Serpent USA, and there is no new partner or anything like that.

Like Paolo said... wait for the official statement, stop making assumptions.

Oh my god,

is it so hard to grab?

Serpent went bankrupt and is selling out their current business assets. All the employees at the dutch plant were let go, the only people left are Michael Salven, Ronald Baar and one administrative guy and I suppose they will be employed by the new owner.
The brand was obviously sold to a Asian company who is going to continue the Serpent product line for now.

This all was said in another thread quite a while back, but all we got was intense bashing.

Face it.

Just FYI, according to my information, the financial troubles that caused all of this came from Serpent USA.

Looks like the US economy is not only hurting the world of banking.....

It seems that Serpent is only doing more damage to themselves by letting rumors fly. I think someone who really knows the facts should straighten things out on what is really happening. The rumors now have it that Serpent USA took them down. If I were in the market for an RC car right now I definitely would not buy a Serpent because of all the unknowns. And I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels that way. The fact they have left the Serpent owners high and dry without the proper parts support while moving operations to Taiwan just added one more reason to be apprehensive of there intentions. Unless someone from Serpent comes forward with what’s happening really soon, it might be too late for there survival.

Build it and they will come!

I agree with you about the Serpent name being damaged but the bottom line is if you build a faster car people will buy it. If whoever is or will be in charge of Serpent soon understands that then they just might succeed.

Yes they did but it said nothing about bankruptcy or the sale of the Serpent trade name and domain name so now we have more questions.
