If you are buying more than 10 or something then the saving can be worth it? Nice find though!
Peace.

With shipping it's $96.32 compared to the $99.00 cost you can pay in the US. I bought mine from TQ Racing and with free shipping, which for the extra cost is well worth the money as you actually have support. If something is wrong, TQ will support you and address the issue. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice price but not enough to get another one especially from HobbyKing. I've dealt with HobbyKing for years and they have awful support, the worst around. They eventually resolve the issue but you have to go through a lot of stress and hoops for it. For about $23.00 difference, no thanks. I can tell you some horror stories and more than one so take your chances if you want to save a little cash. Plus little to no chance they will have all the parts you would need or want for it.

What is a good starting setup for a smaller carpet road course track in a 17.5 rubber class? I have been out of tc for a while and could use a good starting point. Also, what tires would be good?

Couples things on the hobbyking car,
Appears to be a rebranding amd not a clone... so parts are identical
I'm wondering if hk will carry all the zero hop ups which I bet will be cheaper (the zero non-s edition has been discontinued for a while, could see 3racing unloading new old parts to hk as the new xi doesnt share as many components)

ok question?
I hAVE a 3.5t xerun v2 combo.
I used to run a cc sv2 6900kv with a 63t spur 36t pin. 48p for speed runs on 2s got (69mph max)
so let me get this right, with the 3.5t I cant run that gearing obviously( but I did). but after I dumb it down on gearing lets say stock which is 80/20t pin. (sakura zero s) I should see better speeds being that this is supposed to be a "faster/ hot" motor right?
because when I ran it on the same gearing it was slower than my castle combo.

Many of the breakable parts interchange with the xi. Suspension arms, c hubs, knuckles. Even the diffs spool and ball diff are the same. shocks are the same. bulkheads, chassis, top deck, shock towers and suspension mounts are different. not sure about the spur gear mount and holders but I think they are the same. someone on here has made a s model xi hybrid so your car should he good to go for a while. eventually everything becomes obsolete but I think the s will run for a while.
