I just put up a bunch of pictures in the Album for last years USVTA Southern Nationals in Nashville. I am almost maxed out on pictures so copy any that you want before I cull them down. Guess I need a flicker account or something like that.

I agree...but with no tech at our club races, how do we police it? Between batteries and tuning rotors..we need to get it together.

its not that bad guys?...Robk and others that care about the class are there(wish I was)...Im sure it will be a fair race, and the true Champ will come out on top..and everybody will have fun..

At least ROAR Pav Nats has a VTA class, and thats a good thing in the right direction, I hope...

Good Luck to all the VTA racers today...You show them what VTA really is...

If like Gary and I, you try and stay to the usvta rule set, then you get your number circles peeled off on the straight...If what everyone says is true theres no gain in higher "c" ratings, why does it seem most are going for 90+c rated packs? If its not that, then you have to be left with the idea that tuning rotors are in play.

exactly...we need to start teching even at the club level...just as far as i know..no way to visually tell which rotor is being run.

Well we won't have that issue here in September, I'm hopeful that the motor tech we are doing at the Southern Nats, like Snowbirds.

I hope the racing is going well. I talked to Eric and he is USVTA. I've been working with him in VTA all summer. He just set tq

Most, but not all, are running larger than 5000mah batts. Which is acceptable under ROAR rules. I met Eric, don't know what size his batts are, but he sure is FAST !! Plus another guy from Florida is darn quick too.

ROAR techs all the motors before racing begins. You take your motor COMPLETELY apart and present it to the race director. He checks rotor diameter with calipers, and the stator gets checked with a continuity tester. Then you reassemble the motor IN FRONT OF HIM. Where upon he assigns a number and puts a sticker on it. Plus he marks one of the screws with red paint.
From what I've seen everybody is using Novak motors, and since they don't make a 12.5mm rotor that would eliminate any "tuning" rotors for that.
