OS R21 .21 1/8 On-road Motor
So, I have been looking at this motor. Having run the R2101 & R2102 as well as the old XZ-R V2.
I recall in about 2016 OS had the Shimo R21, as such, I am wondering if these two are related? I can not find the parts listing for the Shimo R21, so its hard to compare. Yet not sure if anyone is yet running the R21 and has anything to share. I am aware that it lacks DLC coating etc. I am not worried about that, as years ago DLC did not exist and we did just fine. Having noted too that its shares many parts here and there with the R2101 and the XZ-r, amongst others.
So if any of you have further concrete info on the motor, it would be much appreciated.

If the bore/stroke is the same then a high chance parts can be swapped.

Parts can be exchanged with the R2101/02/03
Check out the spare-parts of the R21 here: www.worldchampionproducts.com/en/493-os-r21
But most of all it has a 5-port liner, so you can use it in the US in the 1/8 PanCars.
I have seen some running and their owners are very happy with it.

again my opinion all this hype on long stroke high torque motors is a bunch of crap all it does is drop the rpm range and in on road rpm is what is needed not torque!!!!

wow 108e for the piston sleeve and rod that is a really really great price and in my opinion I have run all of them from the 2101 02 and 03, there is something about the 2101 that is just an animal and will last me for the whole season I had the exact same lap times after 25 gallons. I use the original crankshaft that dlc coating last forever, my crankcase is orig. 2101 and the front bearing from 4 years ago I just replace p/s/r when needed and the rear ceramic bearing.

I tried once using the crank from a 2103 in the 2101 and had the same head shims for the stock 2101 .03 when I went to start it the piston from the 2101 was hitting the button I had to add another .03 shims
