Hy guys,

I do have a problem with the brake.

As even if i "brake" manually, pressing the brake link forward with the hand, i can easily move the tires.

I build everything correct together, i degreased brake disc and brake pads, nothing is binding.

The brake pin even pushes the brake disc easily, but it seems, as the springs are too strong or long, i dont know.

Did anybody had the same problem? Maybe you have some tipps for me?

Maybe you can show me a picture of your brake pin guide, in which direction its, mounted with the brakr pin, or give me numbers how bigs the difference from brake disc to the other brake disc,

Thanks a lot in advance.

Double check and make sure you don't have brake mount upside down on the bulkhead

The colette that you screw into must go through the hole in both pads. It is probably locked against the inner pad instead of going through.

Or the brake arm maybe too far forward. Slip it off the spline and reset angled more to the rear.

If you are really sure nothing is binding and everything is working properly, just drive the car, and you will see the brakes will become stronger once worn in a little bit, also don't forget you really don't need a huge amount of breaking, to lock up the rear tyres.

Thanks a lot for your first comments.

Tomorrow i´m going to doublecheck everything again.

Some guy in the 747 thread talked about cutting one column of the springs of, to reduce the space from brake pad to brake pad, is that also a reasonable solution if nothing helps out?

Yes , I had to do the same thing to my 747. The spring was slightly too long when fully compress so I cut one ring of the spring.

Are you refering to the carbon wheels disk that attach to the front and rear uprights? If so yes they are worth the investment. The enhance stabilty and help to increase steering. You may want to consider a few other options that will help in the tuning of the car.

1. Alum Servo saver
2. Soft and hard anti roll bars for front and rear.

Hope this helps.

Under what conditions is the "dragging " occurring - all the time?? - need more ride height - under hard braking?? - possibly firmer front springs. the board can be a useful tool but you need to give the crew a little better desription of the issue.

Soethings radically wrong - kit bumper mounts on top of the chassis plate and the body mount goes on top (ends up flush with the bottom of the chassis plate and surrounds the nose) using the outer two holes - take a look at the car images on the website and see if by accident the wrong bumper was in your kit.

Post a pic. Is the bumper bent from hitting board?

Check your assembly. We've never had this problem with either our 966 or 977. Both cars share the front bumper. We may have gotten a slight rub but only when were down to 60mm on the front tires and even then it will usually bottom out on the chassis. Let us know what you find
out.
