this is the customer support thread for the Shepherd Velox V10 "WC".
There is a black and a shepherd-blue version.

We are happy to release the brandnew Velox V10 “WC”. Based on the successful Velox V10 „PRO“ platform the latest car kit has been developed in close cooperation with top team drivers as well as club level racers from all over the world. It includes nearly all the new parts that were already succesfully used at the World Championship in Gubbio with Simon Kurzbuch making the most out of them claiming the second position after qualifying and the 3rd overall position with the fastest lap of the main final.

A new chassis plate as well as a new radioplate with an excentric insert allows to mount the servo saver in two different position doubling the possible ackermann settings. Furthermore the radioplate features two different steering servo mount positions giving additional options for the weight distribution.

The rear end comes with new gearbox bulkheads, new diff bulkheads as well as a carbon stiffener connecting the new bulkheads for various flex options increasing the traction especially under acceleration.
All these parts in combination with well proven features like the Direct-V-Brake, an extra small servo saver and updated 4.9mm uniballs and balljoints all around make the succesful Velox V10 platform even stronger.

I just recently started building my v10 kit and am having issues with the brakes. When I install the brake arms and tighten the screws it creates drag. When I loosen the screws the drag goes away and the rear end spins freely. Any suggestion?

Hi Thilo, isn't there a bug in the manual. According to the manual the differential should be filled with 8g of oil. I have heard about 1.8 g and I do not think that I ever will be able to use more than 2g .

this was a typo and we correced it. the correct amount of oil is 1.8gramms ,

Hello I just ran my v10 for the first time. The rear end was real loose on throttle. I am running 300,000 diff oil in front and 80,000 in rear. I am running stock springs and oil in shocks. Any suggestions to fix this issue?

Hey guys,
we have updated our floating piston #811304 for our Shepherd Velox cars.

With the help of an additional o-ring the new floating piston completely prevents any possible tilt of the piston inside the shock absorber resulting in a
100% leak-free operation even when using our super-soft floating piston spring #811335 during long race weekends.

The new 2017 floating piston will be include in next batch of car kits.

As a direct replacement the piston is also available separately.

I have a question which is not to 100% related to the V10 WC.

How are you protecting the air intake against water ingress during a rain race?
I am using for dry conditions the INS from Brilliant or Novarossi.

I would suggest to increase the "toe in" at the rear. Normally I am running 2,5 to 3°.

Many many things were tryed over the years. The best results ive seen last season was a ins box completly filled with steel-woolen.
