Umm...nope. I don't follow this thread every day. So I thought I would guess. I feel like a fool now.

No need for that. When you combine both threads (this is the second) for the event, there has been around 1000 posts. So, I say missing one or two is understandable. Bellow is the "Tire Announcement"

Price to the consumer.
Quantity availability.
Quality (tire & wheel).
Tire Life (not a one run wonder).
Performance (consistent from set to set & lap to lap)

In the last month we have logged over 65 man hours testing 19 different combinations of wheels tires and inserts from 5 different manufactures. Nearly every combination we have ran during these tests has proven to be of good quality. As with all things there are strengths and weaknesses in every tire available.

THE RUBBER TIRE FOR THE 08 ROAR ASPHALT NATIONALS IS THE,
MUCH MORE SWEEP 36 / MED INSERT. (premounted)

At this facility, with the track prepped in the manner as it will be for the Nats, this tire has proven to provide multiple runs without serious wear related issues. This combination has proven to be quite consistent from set to set. The wheel has proven to very durable, as only one tester encountered a broken wheel. This combination was not the fastest of those tested. (.12 -.2 seconds off) However, everyone will be on the same product. This combination will prove to be an economical choice. This tire, like so many others on the market is not currently available in most shops at this moment. However, Much More has guaranteed the quantity needed for the event will be available well in advance.

The "Nats Price" will be $25 per set. These may be purchased in advance (over the phone, by credit card) or at the event. Persons who want to reserve their sets in advance can do so by calling 870-933-0479. Each registered driver may reserve a maximum of five sets (per class) prior to June 17th 2008. You must be registered for the event to get the "Nats Pricing".

For those who plan to run 1/12th scale. I am expecting shipments from both Parma and Jaco. Both are sending there best picks for this surface and I will be offering these tires at some very good prices. No need to pre-order, but no need to bring them because I will have plenty.

Thanks for being patient while awaiting this announcement. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to host this event, and I can hardly wait to see it all go down.

I ran the AP body with the PF highspeed wing. But would of loved to have tried both Mazda bodies. Car was real good overall.
