I almost hate to mention this, but how did you say a lipo would fit?

The track power saddle pack will fit right in place of the 4 cell pack. I will be releasing a locator tray for it as soon as i can get the pack. It can also fit a stick pack down the center if you like by adding a 1mm shim under the 2 outside standoffs for the battery/shock mount and remove the front standoff. Once i get my hands on the lipo saddle i will post pics of it installed.

I have been looking at it and I think one could flip the upper chassis plate 180deg and fit a lipo pack right down the center and you would have the front post at the rear now to act as a battery stop for the rear.

This would be easy to do. I do not understand why this is such a big deal but oh well.

Great Job on a Great looking car!!!!!!!!!!!!! well done Jason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best option for LiPo is Track Power's 4800 Saddle LiPo. They are two 70mm (L) x 47mm (W) x 20.8mm (T) packs that fit side by side in the DB10R.

You can also fit any stick Lipo down the center of the chassis if you remove the front battery plate post and add 1mm shims under the side posts.

Keep in mind that if you run a stick LiPo you will need to add weight to the side of the chassis opposite your speed control to balance the car. This has to be done on any 1/10th or 1/12th car that runs batteries down the center. This is why we did not design the DB10R as just a stick lipo or cells down the center car.

Not to worry buddy. They fit in there with no issues. We did design the car to work best with 7.4 volt saddle pack lipo or 4 cell but you can use a stick pack lipo also if you prefer. It will require added weight as adrian stated just like any car with a stick pack down the center but it will fit
