Got mine yesterday before I had to go to work.. Was up till 4.30 am setting it up.. So far I'm very impressed with the truck. Everything seems very stout and strong. The only complaint I have are those damn silver buttonhead screws. They seem like they will be very easy to strip the head out. I'm running an ae ft body untill I get enough time to paint the losi body up. I'm racing tonight and I'm very excited. This is my first 4x4 truck and I can't wait.

Looks good Raper...I did notice you left the battery in the middle. Make sure you check out that manual so you know how to move those battery stops so you can play with battery placement. I like mine all the way back and Casey likes his all the way forward, lol. But very easy to adjust the stops as its just the two screws each from the top there.

I know the castles have both screw patterns in there motors (3mm and 4mm patterns) but most don't.

Yes proline pro-trac wheels use 12mm hexes and bolt right on. The other wheels will be drastically wider.

Are you using the right wrench? You should be using a 2mm or 5/64 hex wrench. Get a good quality tool. We use the same screws on the 8ight and I have never had a problem with one of them.

I've got a LRP sphere TC sitting around unused right now.... wonder if I could push a 4.5t or 5.5t 550 can motor on that thing?
I e-mailed lrp and ask that question. They replied, 'it should'. So I'm going with it.

Tekin has both 3mm and 4mm as well. I'm not aware of any 1/8 motors that only use 4mm mounting holes. So if the 4mm mounting hole was the issue then most 1/8 motors should work.

The Xcelorin motors only have the 4mm holes in them, so both Casper and I come from that brand.

Yea, I'm on the fence on battery placement at the moment.. i'll see how it does on the track then move the battery as needed.

Using a quality Dynamite tool..perhaps the tip needs to replaced. I will look into it.

..

Thats the 19t pinion. I figured I'd start out there and see where it takes me. There was an earlier post either on this thread or the 1415 thread where a 19t was used on that motor with a 40t spur and they had good results. I will post up later tonight after racing with my impressions of the motor

So the Protrac 2wd Slash FW will fit. I will use them Front and Rear on the Losi?

Thanks, just want to order the right wheels.

If you are going to order wheels, just order the Losi wheels. They will not rub that way. LOSB7018.

just got mine from the fedex driver

holy moly this thing is beefy, the a-arms on this losi make my SC10 a-arms look like toothpicks

I need to get some electronics on order to get this thing running, but it looks like it's really going to be durable
