Track making thread

This example is for an indoor carpet track. The Ozite carpet is glued to the floor, then pieces of fake grass, or even thick carpet, is held on top of the Ozite with double sided tape. The outer edge of the fake grass is held down with red or yellow duct tape. A few permanent barrier, shown in white, made out of 2X4s, rain gutters or whatever. The movable barriers, shown in yellow could be a spill barrier made by PIGŠ
http://www.newpig.com/en_US/main.jht...eak+and+Spill. They are made out of Urethane, they are nice and heavy so they won't move too much. Heck every barrier of a track could be made out of this stuff if a club can afford them.

I do like it Crash.
I don't think you need as many yellow-boards to delineate as you show - racers tend to realize that if you run into a board, you prolly shouldn't GO THERE!
It's real and it would be quite simple to have, say, 5 standard layouts that you could switch between and then keep track records for them, etc. Run those 5 backwards and you have a full 10 different tracks - almost one per month.
TD - it's not that they're more involved and more difficult to reproduce. . .
it's that they're not realistic and not raceable.
When you moved to the open cell, it got better but they're still not RC tracks. That program does not do RC tracks, no matter what it says. Look at Crash's and then look at yours. It's obvious that Crash has modelled his style of track on what is really done, what is really raced. It's based on his experiences actually racing.
That's why I criticize yours - trying to move you toward the realm of the real.

That should also allow for a lot more creativity as well.
