Guys whats the difference between the +4 and +21-5k,
besides the money? More power, less power, more durable?
Thanks.

completely different engine the original plus engines had very heavy cranks which smoothed the low end quite a bit in certain port designs plus 4 is whole different porting design that novarossi itself has never offered in their engine line up they have made them before though plus4 uses the p5 style cranks

plus4 makes more power from less fuel , efficient design

plus4 =smooth yet plenty of power all the way through
21-5k = punchy bottom that runs through mid and falls off at the end , very solid runner

Good to know. My TKO ceramic rear has been holding up ok, but I really haven't run the engine too much recently.

I have a Rex Hot Mod P5 and an older Plus 21-7..the 21-7 is a monster, I run the 21-7 in an ST-RR. For me on the tracks that I run on the 21-7 is a great motor, it has good bottom end but it does not over power the chassis (the ST-RR is known to be a bit tractionally challenged) the 21-7 does have a great mid to top end..keeps pulling, anyone who says their not fast is full of it..I rate it above any of my other motors..

Monty, go ahead and let Brian have the Toro.........I am gonna go with a plus4 soon as I want the smoothest power delivery I can get..........I have a 9901 w/41005 square header.....what can I expect with the plus4 with this combo, will it be smooth....would a 41021 header be better? Will it be decent for short to medium track applications?

trevor get the 41021 header to go with it and it should be good for med to large track but you got run the turbo button imo it make way more power and more millage over the standard button
