No... the production version will be black.
The current test drivers (Atsushi, Surikarn and Andy) are using purple parts most of the time, just to give them something special.
If they don't have any purple parts in stock, they I'll also use black parts (which we have seen before). This is what I heard from Andy (Moore).

i am intriuged by this car, can some one tell me what makes this car so radically different from the 415, rdx, fk05, mi2, yokomo bd? they all look the same, i think its the name that draws me to it though!

they all have similar designs and all perform very well..
to me... it's preference..and it's new.. gotta have the latest and greatest etc. it's also a matter of parts support...which car does your LHS support more of?... that would be the car to get.. easier to replace parts.

its accually quite close to the 415 but the reason why i want is that it has some of the same parts as teh pro4, which i have.

that reason too... I also have the pro4 and both cars share the same suspension... so less parts to carry.....

i'm sure this car is more like the yokomo BD...probably for asphalt. This should be a good car since it is designed by surikarn and hara. But i decided to get me an fk05 .

looking at pics of this car, the underside has no screw holes for a battery bar mounting system like the pro4, im sure it might be easy to make something if this is the case but by the early looks of things batteries will be held down by tape..

Are you sure that the gearbox doesn't just look wider because of the way the shock tower is mounted compared to the Pro 4? It can't be that much wider because it uses Pro 4 pivot blocks and the bulkhead has to fit inside these...

I'm assuming it will use the same diff outdrives for the rear to save cost. as with the BD...uses SD parts as well.the only part the may differ is the shocktowers and front oneway and spool.
