The ball stud is longer than the locknut. So you need to cut few millimeters

No. I'll try to explain better.

The default locknut is around 1.5mm height. You need to put a thinner locknut, like 1mm or 0.5mm, as you can see on my picture.

As you put a smaller locknut, the ballstud is now longer than the locknut... So you need to cut it... Now the car can get more roll.

Only tested on high grip carpet right now... Should work on low and high condition.

Kyle Klingforth this past weekend took a big tq and win over the fastest North American f1 drivers -- Brian Wynn and Mario Ficco of CRC. Kyle winning isn't the big shocker. As he is a world class driver... Kyle's Rapide F1-2016 did NOT feature any front/rear tire glue to combat traction rolls (and this was on new crc black carpet -- super high grip).

Kyle ran an alloy chaasis and lower pod plus configured the battery inline (as the manual suggests for high grip).

So interesting on the inline as opposed to traverse pack. For awhile it seemed like a lot of cars were moving toward traverse packs. Maybe that was before the new CRC black carpet came out and or aluminum chassis (for all brands).

A few locally have thought about going back to inline with the super high grip the new carpet offers. Maybe it keeps the car from rolling onto the sidewalls more?

Tried it on carpet last week end (the first batch with alloy axle) and, even if I felt a difference in acceleration compared to the carbon Roche axle, I liked the feeling, seemed a little bit easier and with more brake (as said by Fenix).

Love my Xray but I did pick up a used Roche in summer. Looking forward to testing it out against my X1 '17. Hopefully will see a setup sheet soon from Kyle.

Hey guys , I just purchased a new Roche F1 kit from Gripworks RC in Canada . I am a touring car guy and a total F1/pan car newb , so I was hoping you could point me to a set up that would be applicable to running on med/high grip grey carpet on a subfloor . I took note of the ball stud mod mentioned above and it sounds like the upright brace would be good to have . Also would be interested in seeing the inline set up mentioned . Really looking forward to trying a new car/class ! Your help is much appreciated , thanks .
