Default Asphalt racing

Only the third time I've raced the F1 class with my Roche F1, and I think I'm starting to figure this rubber tire pan car thing out on the asphalt. We have some pretty solid F1 competition at my local club which led to a great battle in the A-main against an XRay driven by the current points leader: https://youtu.be/7VodfVOMTVc

The extra steering my Roche had mid-exiting the corner really made the win happen. Love this thing

Here's my setup: RocheF1_WRaven.pdf

Just picked up a used car with an aluminum chassis, thanks Antimullet, and I'm looking for a good base setup for CRC black carpet. Does anyone have one they can give me?

New body on my Roche. Hopefully I'll have it ready for the Southern Nats in two weeks.

Just got my Rapide 2016 earlier this week and was able to throw it down today for some laps. Wow, what a difference. Set it up almost per instruction settings using kit parts only and this thing far exceeded my old SP1 and older F104 X1. Best F1 chassis I've owned thus far. Running Tekin 25.5 with RS gen 2 ESC, Pit 571/575 tires and protoform F2013 body with Tamiya F2012 front/rear wings, 50wt shock oil, 20k damper oil. Geared 68/22 3.09fdr. May be a little slow yet but I was the only car practicing so I had no comparison. But handling and stability were amazing. Can't wait for the fall/winter season

Goid to read!

Here's my setup from ETS : http://site.petitrc.com/reglages/roche/setuprapidef1/F12016_NicolasDelise_Hvrotovice2016120204/

If any questions, just ask!

I did a mod on the car to have more rear roll, I'll try to upload a picture asap!

Nope, never tested a geardiff on f1. Fenix diff is looking good and quality is quite good, but don't like the feeling.. I know they are testing a new grease, the diff is now feels really smooth and soft like a balls diff. So maybe I'll give a try soon.

F1's coming back in Hong Kong ... at least for the winter
My Roche F1 was having an awesome time running against Shephard, Tamiya and Exotek F1s. Everyone surprised how much steering there was compared to the other chassis - so much so that another driver thought I wouldn't make it diving the inside line before going on to the back straight but the car slowed down and hooked into the corner! Had a lot of fun

I suggest you to do this mod :

You need to remove the standard locknut and put a thinner one. Then use a dremel to cut the part.

It give a way more rear traction and make the car more easy on fast change direction.
