Hot Shot has VTA racing every Wednesday and Saturday. Open for practice daily (closed now on Sunday). I think we had 8 VTA last Saturday and 15 VTA last Wednesday.

It also looks like there's a race indoor off-road on Sept 10th at night. Maybe I can make it a full day trip to race VTA at battlegrounds early, and indoor at Hotshot later...hmmmm....

Hey folks, we just had the finale of our Asphalt Assault 2011 Series here in the Mid-West (5 races at 4 tracks). The finale was Sunday, Aug 21st, at Leisure Hours Raceway, in Joliet, IL. We had 49 different VTA Drivers participate in the series, and at the finale.... we had 34 VTA cars participate!
3 groups (12, 11, 11) and 2 Mains (A + B, with 17 Cars In Each!)... It was Awsome!!!!

Here are the top 10 VTA Drivers from the 5 race series.... Nice Trophies!!!

Now we just have to get Snowbird Nat's on board....

Quite a few of the guys at the Asphalt Assault are talking about making the trip South.

There was almost 50 drivers that raced USVTA and almost another 50 drivers that raced USGT over the entire series. Scale spec racing is doing great here in our area.....lets see if we can keep it going this winter! The Midwest All-Star Carpet series starts in a month!

For all you west coast VTA guys:

Speedworld in Roseville, California (suburb of Sacramento) is hosting the XRAY Challenge and we want to add VTA as a class. We need 15 guys to sign up in order to make this happen. We run a by-the-books VTA class with a 3.7 FDR limit and have an awesome outdoor asphalt track to race on.

Schedule:
Sept 8: warm up race in the afternoon/evening (non-official event)
Sept 9: XRAY Challenge practice
Sept 10: XRAY Challenge practice in the AM, qualifying in the PM
Sept 11: XRAY Challenge final qualifying and mains
