I am not sure I totally believe the nitro fumes bit, think about all the old drag racers that have been around it for years and they run up to 90%

Always had fun racing with "porkchop" over the years at different RC tracks in Ohio. Was shocked when I heard news this morning. Charles will be missed, thoughts and prayers go out to Charles Family.

I'm going to miss Porkchop's keen sense of humor but most of all his willingness to help other racers regardless of their skill level. Sadly, another life ending way too early.
I agree with Gary K. Chops talked so much about attending the Nats. It was like a dream come true for him. I sincerely hope they do take a moment of silence at the race.

he was a good friend to everyone always the life at the track.
its great everytime I video him driving my car he would break it, those are some cool videos to have now though.

The Chops memorial race will be at Medina RC raceway on SATURDAY AUGUST 4th. The upcoming new drivers stand will be dedicated to him.
It's also the Diabetes charity race.

Is there a family donation page started yet??
Sorry to hear about the bad news. Its such a tragedy to hear of these things, especially about our fellow racers. I didn't know him, but I am willing to help in anyway possible. Is there a donation page for his family yet?? If so, please link me to it. TY

Rip. first thing he saw when he closed his eyes here on earth an opened them in heaven was his mother, what an amazing feeling it must have been to wake up in the presence of the lord and the sight of your mother. Amen to a miracle being back with the maker.
