Smooothest Engine?
Ok, cost does not play into this question. Which motor and pipe for 1/8 buggy has the smoothest powerband?
Currently have a RB WS7III w/ 2045 and it's good but looking to switch it up.
Thanks for the input

motor
O.S. Speed .21 VZ-B V-Spec II 09 Worlds Edition (13911) W/os 2060 pipe
I have seen one run with the AXE 2050 and you can get that pipe for $60 at A-Main.

This will be a good one as everyone seems to be a fan of the os but I have owned a vspec, speed, and now the plus 4. I am not hating on any of the motors but I will tell things from my experience running them. The standard vspec with a 2050 has tons of bottom end grunt, to me it is violent. The motor pulls all the way from bottom to top, not lacking power anywhere. On the speed with the same pipe in the same car the power delivery is substantially smoother, does not hit quite as hard on bottom. Both motors have excellent fuel mileage, around 10 mins or so, but was able to get more from the standard vspec. Now on the plus 4 in the same buggy, with a medium nova header/9901 pipe, the power band is super linear and VERY smooth. It does not hit like a sledgehammer on the bottom like an os. I find the plus 4 much easier to control and I dont have as much wheel spin, I can also get 11 mins on a legal buggy tank depending on the track. Not trying to make the plus 4 sound perfect because I feel like the motor has a flat power band, once it hits its peak torque it just stays there, but I never get pulled on the straights. For me I prefer the plus 4, good luck.
