it runs fine like that.. never tried 0.3mm. I'm happy with it as it is..
some people recommend 0.3, other 0.4 for the jl3. I prefer to stay safe with 0.4
dont worry, u can safely run the jl3 with 0.3mm on 16%...
u'll be rewarded with the added punch!

I have .6mm on my murnan red dot and the actual head clearance is .36mm with the shims on. Isnt .3mm and .4mm way too low? That means .06 and .16 mm actual head clearance with your setup.

hey guys i know this question has been answered before but i need a straight answer, im getting the JL Red - Dot Evo 3 and i am running it at 16% nitro so i need to know what it is shimmed at out of the factory and what it should be shimmed at when i run it, if it is shimmed to much for 16% will i have to buy new shims or can i just remove some of the ones that come with it.

The engine comes shimmed for 16% from the factory and set for a elevation of 1500 ft or so. So you do not have to take a shim out unless you would like more pop on the bottom end. The engine will run fine as it comes set.

The JL EVO 3 engine is shimmed for 30%, (it had a total of 0.70mm shims) if you want to run 16% then all you need to do is run it at 0.40mm total shims.

No it won't, they are completely 2 different design pipe sets.

Thanks, but shipping overseas just for a small manifold is kind of expensive. I will order it together with some other parts when I need them, from winnerscircle probably, as it caries some other things I might need once..

I did not say that I can sell to you directly. I just stated that I have them in stock if your dealer needs to get one. Sorry for the misunderstanding. We support the dealers and I am glad to see that you are as well. And Lee is a great guy as well.

I am not trying to spam here, but if you need this manifold here in Europe, you could order it here:

http://www.scuderia-fun-and-drive.com/

Click on "Fun & Drive shop" and and then on "Auspuff"

It's the German IDM importer and they have it in stock.

Cheers.
