Tried that. No luck. I bound my radio to my son's RS and it works great. I think I'll try to reload version 189. Maybe I screwed it up.

If you're running the speed control as delivered, I'd suggest that you run in dual mode (sensor mode box unchecked in hotwire) with throttle profile 3 or 4, neutral width 10, brushless forward only, no current limit, timing advance to 100 and rollout around 50mm.

If you run the 1.89 firmware in your RS, then check sensor mode, run the boost to maximum, turn the endbell timing all the way clockwise, rollout around 44-44.5mm.

Watch temps, and gear accordingly for lap time, but those will be close.

Mikky:

We take every customer seriously regardless of where you're located. However there are a lot of times where we service sent in that has nothing wrong, user error or some other issue that is esc controlled.

I know Jim is not ignoring you. However he is a very busy man and may not be the correct person to be talking to. The normal channel would have been via [email protected] or you could have delt with me [email protected] as I know we've spoke in the past.

We ship to the address we are given. If there's an error with that we cannot be held responsible for those errors.

Please forward me any emails you've gotten so I can see where we are at with your service issue: [email protected]

Hi,

What is the recommended FDR for my tekin 6.5T brushless motor ? I will be using it with a RS PRO in 189.

I was told to gear down, but since I don't know the recommended FDR, I'm stuck.

FYI, this is the track where I'm going to practice

Thanks a lot !

Maybe TeamTekin forum is better to ask for this question instead of the ESC thread ?

Hi,

Sorry, here's some information on my setup that may help you to help me.

Basics & electronics
I (will on monday) run for first time my Xray T2 EU 009, on asphalt (see the youtube video with the track) with rubber tyres (Jaco Green) or RB 4xfront foam tyres (shore 35) with a Mazda 6 bodyshell.

Car is "perfectly" setup with a hudy according to the T2 manual (EU asphalt)

My electronic is : Tekin RS PRO (v189) + Tekin 6.5T (on a 21T pinion for the moment) with a 48 - 84 Spur.

Tekin RS PRO setup:

I have in stock also a 87 spur and ordered a 17 & 19T pinions

According to the manual, here're the FDRs :

Spur 84
17T:8.40
19T:7.52
21T:6.80

Spur 87
17T:8.70
19T:7.78
21T:7.04

Hope that helps,

1/ what is the FDR to go for the 6.5T motor ?
2/ any remarks ?

Cédric

Default Redline in a crc gen x

Has anyone tried to put a redline in a crc gen x 12? I can't figure out how to get it in there. Novak brushless motors fit. they are slightly shorter and the sensor wire is on the side of the endbell as apposed to the redline where it is at the bottom.

Any help thanks

Dan

Randy,
On the set ups for RS & 17.5, I noticed that you are using the Throttle pro #3.
Would throttle #5 be better?
What are the differences besides more aggressive?
Thanks and God Bless

Alright, here is my public apology to Tekin and my thanks to Randy Pike for dealing with me. After hours of thinking, scratching, pacing (and a little drooling on myself) I charged the battery. Apparently it is required for this thing to work. Who would have thought?
