They'll settle as you run them.
It's the car at running weight? Everything installed?

I followed the Jason Dias setup. The distance between the ball end and the shock cartridge is 27.5mm, I've got the long ball ends on the rear shocks, and I'm at running weight. Odd

no no.. 27mm is the length of the showing shock shaft. The distace between the TOP of the shock end, and the cartridge. I run 27mm exactly, with the long shock ends. Your overall length is about 20mm too short.
(i just read your post again.. maybe you are describing the same thing?)

I also have to add that I had heard what great quality the Kyosho stuff is, and I have to agree, but their quality control as far as packing the kit (at least mine) was terrible.
I opened bag #5 to build the shocks and I had exactly 1 (yes one) O-ring to build all four shocks with. I had to drive for about three hours all over So-Cal to track down all the proper O-rings to get them built. When I got home I realized their little plastic shock cartridge tightening tool was also missing. I went through every bag, dug through my entire build trash can, took everything off my hobby room floor just in case I dropped it and it mysteriously rolled (even though its not round) and it never turned up.
Needless to say I am not thrilled about how this kit has gone together, I hope I have a better experience driving it than building it.

only if you don't know how to setup the car . my car works great in all conditions . here is my car on a low to med grip indoor clay track . my car is TQ in MM in the second spot is another RB6 in RM and in the fifth spot is an RB6 in MM as well the rest of the cars are AE and one TLR 22 in seventh spot . since i switched to MM the car has only gotten better. everyone has their own preference . good luck in however you decide to go .
