Edward,

Mielke has a new manufacturing system that they call "SNAP" (Spezial New Alu Procedure for harder und thinner material)

You can find the info on their website.

The surface of their pipes is available with a chrome layer, which makes it very easy to keep the pipe looking likenew for a long time.

Yep, that's what I'm using as well. You need to try it with the long conical header.

Makes awesome power with my engines.
With the short header it does not have a lot of torque, that's right.
I did try the 2501 several times, I can't remember about the header tough. I did use it the way Mielke sent it to me and I always had better experience with the Picco 2607 or the Nova 2601/02.

Mielke made several updates to his pipes, so the same EFRA number doesn't necessarily have to be the exact same spec all the time as far as I can see. Pretty weird, but this seems to be the case.

He does make quality stuff, but so far I never liked them with my engines.

Reto,

the current 2501 (got mine from Daniel in Austria) comes with the short header, which makes real good top end but is only suited to the biggest tracks. Mine really came alive when I put the long header on it for our regular, medium size tracks. First time out, I missed all my brake nad turn in points, compared to the RDL Turbo II pipe, which is also noc slouch.

Hi Mike.
Yes, motor comes for 30% Nitro and it has total shimmng .4 mm. For 16% Nitro I will sugest .25mm. Our shimming has possabilities to adjust by .05 increaments-copper shims there is .05 mm.

Hi Guys.
I want to answer on some questions which I recievd over PM and emails.
Motor is 12 gramms lighter then Novarossi based motors, and most of weight we try to remove from cooling head. We use AL alloy which has better heat dessipiation then normaly used alloys. It has mounting sizes exactly the same as any other .12 size motors, so it is not reqiered any modifications for car.
Cranck is 12 mm and it has different ballancing compare to other brands which is helping us to get as much power as we can, specialy on top end.
Some parts are interchangable with Novarossi and STS based motors. Carb is leagal.
Porting inside the motor is our development and they are different from any other brands, as well as porting on sleeve. Further modification on sleeve will hirt performance and we strongly recomend to do net modify any parts in engine-on p/l set it will change flow and on the cranck it will chnge balancing-unless you are absolutly know what are you doing. Removing 0.1 gramm on wrong palce on cranck will change balancing tramendosly.
I guess I answer all most FAQ, but if anybody have more questions, please feel free to ask.
Edward
