Well, these arms have been around for some time now, they’ve just been kept on the down-low. I know that Hara used one of these arms to win the ROAR Nats in Washington, and when the Tech official inspected his motor is was deemed legal.... So my point being is, until ROAR makes a fuss about this I won't need to send it in for approval.....

What up guys. Curtis, once again the motors ran awesome this weekend and missing the State Series win by 3 tenths of a second behind Paul Wynn. Was leading but lap traffic is always interesting. Ended up with an 8x1 Ultra Light based motor in the V2 based motor.
If you guys need any setup thoughts let me know and I'll do my best if Curtis isn't around. I've been testing with Curtis since February and I am 100% satisfied. No failures, no problems, simply faster.

Armature modifications are 100% ROAR legal in modified...
The DC UL arms would easily meet all ROAR specs in modified motors.....
Later EddieO

For now we have a Outlaw 19 turn: It's a KR based 19x1 featuring a hand-wound tagged 19 turn armature with big wire, wound on an Ultra Light Kr armature blank... Unfortunately, it's not "ROAR" legal, and can only be used at tracks that allow hand wound adjustable timing 19 turn motors. That to bad because this thing really hauls butt.....
Here's a pic of the arm:

I just wanted to say thank for the 2 motors that you wound for me last month or so and they are performing GREAT. And your turn around time is second to none.
Thanks again, Mike

How should we gear when using UL arm motors ???
#29
GEARING...
A good starting point for gearing on the UL milled armatures is to gear down 1 tooth from what your accustomed to gearing for that same wind....

48 pitch or 64 pitch?
