Default 12x1 vs 12x2

Hello
Which motor will be better for which track? And why? There are special versions of Orion/Peak V2 12x1 HS and 12x1 HT. Please tell me where should be used 12x1 HS and 12x1 HT and 12x2 or 12x3?
Thank you

As far as I am aware, a single wind has slightly more revs compared to a double wind.

Correct me if i'm wrong!

Revs are similar, if anything a double will be revvier than a single.

The main difference is the feel, a single feels punchier, a double is smoother.

Orion did HT and HS versions of the 12x1 to get the most out of the old european 12 turn limit. HT is torque biased, for tighter tracks, HS is revs biased for larger tracks.

12x2 and 12x3 were less widely used. If the grip is low, and the track is large, I would probably go for a triple rather than a double. Not much in it though.

Are you sure? I heard that HS is for small tracks and HT is for large tracks. I have Orion V2 Touring 12x1 HT with good gearing and i wasn't as fast as people that had 12x1 HS. Luck that i'm better driver and i won Maybe sometging is wrong with my motor.

I have another question about motor tuned based on V2 but i will make new thread.

Default arms

the hs stands for high speed or more rpm's, i believe better for larger tracks. ht is high tourque, i believe better for small tight tracks, the arms are wound on different web size blanks. the orion site has a v2 chat that gives more info than you can ask for and very detailed.
