Hey guys,
thinking about getting a new ESC for my 417,
and I´m tending to try the new LRP Flow, as it´s already quite popular here in Europe. My second favorite is the Reventon Pro, as I only had the best experience with Speed Passion so far.
I´m running 17,5t blinky most of the time, but have to use LRP X12 motor by law.
I would appreciate any pro and contras you may have for me!
And can the Reventon be run Forward / Brake+ Reverse in blinky mode?
I know my old sP can, but the manual of the Reventon seems to say no.
BR,
Matthias

If it is Binky mode(Roar Legal), then there is no reverse. No matter old or new SP ESC.
Thank you

Hi guys im running the reventon pro in 17.5boosted on alarge track, ivr been runnning the SP V3 motor for a little while but I cant get any speed out of it and so ive gone for thw LRP X12 again, can someone give me a good starting point for boosting numbers using this motor?
Running a 5.38:1 FDR for our large track with an 80m front straight and its a very flowy track so high speeds are the norm here. I couldnt push the sp motor past a certain point to chase the faster guys at the state titles.on the weekend, losing 10+ car lengths on the straights and making just 2 back throigh the technical section
Any help appreciated, thanks

Just a quick question, I run in a Pro2 SCT class which is 10.5T motor no timing So I have been running the latest Mod2 firmware with 0 timing and its been working great.
But we have a event coming up that requires the Binky software to be loaded so going off some complaints here of cogging what is the difference between Stock0 & Mod2 when they are both at 0 timing?
I did read that Mod 2 is meant to be more aggressive? But in what way.

I read on the speed passion site that Stock0 has "ZERO TIMING "Stock - Blinky" so is this the 508 software?
So all the scrutineer cares about is if the ESC is flashing at Neutral as per the ROAR rules.
But the original question still stands, the Blinky ESC runs no timing So how does Mod 2 with no timing behave differently. Or is it the same?
What color is the high torque 12.5mm rotor that fits in the 17.5 MMM?

Be careful on the rotor you get. there is a 12.5 rotor with a red band that SP is selling that is NOT Roar legal. it's basically a mod rotor. They have another rotor with a gray band, that is a legal rotor. The tricky part is, the part number is the same

Sorry I didn't mention that I have a Reventon Pro & a SP MMM 10.5T motor running the 11-20 set mid way.

hi that guy has confused you, he is talking about 508 blinky that goes onto the gt pro2
there is a cogging problem moving away but only on v20 stock0 off the V1.1.0.22 programmer softwear, if you get hold of V1.1.0.21 like i have there is no problem
i have both as i run blinky and stock1 softwear
mod 2 also has very strong brakes (meant for off road)but can't be in blinky as you can add static timing in the esc plus the blinky light
hopes this helps you

That's interesting that the Stock0 brakes are weaker than Mod2.
Maybe a Speed Passion rep can explain the core differences between Stock0 (Blinky) & Mod2. (Apart from the obvious Stock0 has no timing or boost adjustments)

I'm running a 17.5r 3.0 which way do I turn to advance. Look at my picture did I go the wrong way?
Advance motor timing? To do so loosen the 3 screws on the motor, tap the rotor on a table or flat surface which will losses the sensor board and turn it to the right (20*) afterwards just screw in the 3 screws. Check for the motor temp to. There's also a video on YouTube showing how to do it.
