Default Help with gears please

Hello,
I am a father of a child who recently got an electric RC car. I have one problem, when you press the gas on the controller the small gear spins but does not "hook" on with the other gear (larger one). What is my problem?
Thanks,
Texas

It sounds like the motor needs to be shifted forward. There should be two screws that hold the motor in. Loosen slightly and shift the motor forward to close the gap and tighten. You don't want the two gears to be too tight; there should be a little play.

What kind of car is it?

No problem. I've had a few Evaders before my current cars so I'm familiar with them. Feel free to PM me any questions.

Glad it worked. I picked up most of my info from here and I still tell my kids I know everything.
Just make sure there's a bit of play between the two gears as it could cause motor overheating. It may take a few tries to get it just right.
