Did you completely uninstall the previous version? Including the hidden file?

Kind of off the subject but related.....how do you get rid of a zip file? I have one with a bunch of Tekin stuff from 2008

I believe Windows7 & vista both use something called the 'VirtualStore'. After you uninstall the hotwire software, you go to here:

1. 'C:\Users\”name” \AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Tekin Hotwire\'
2. Delete this folder.
3. Install Hotwire v212 again.

If all goes well, then v212 will be installed.

Alternatively, you can install v212 into another folder name, that way it will install a clean copy in the new directory.

I had the a similar problem of not able to upload the v212 firmware onto my RS. RS keeps on giving me only 1 LED blink. After I did the above, it gives me 2 blinks.

I might pick up a motor to run mod once in a while.

The site says 5turn 36mm can? What is that?

I only have the RS, not the Pro, I'm thinking a 6min heat of mod with a 6.5 and up should be ok?

Who here has actually gotten the RS to temp more than 1 or 2 led's?

Seems like it's the servo. Have you tried a different servo?

I have with a 6.5. It thermal'd after 3 minutes. I didn't mess with the setup much. It was dumb fast and fun to watch down the strait!

I'm not familiar with FAST systems, but maybe it has some sort of short protection? Do you have another RX to try?

I found 212 to be alittle smoother and the deadband with little throttle is less. This makes the car much easier to drive as the car will be more stable.
