Could someone explain how the roll center shim kit works and how I would use it?

Thanks

Ok guys. I raced both my cars saturday. And usong my ultimate in mod tc... i am also havong trouble keeping the rear end in check on corner exit feeling loose.. i spun out infront of someone and he had no where to go it ended badly with my car breaking an arm. And a front solid axle outdrive.

What im wondering is can i run the option parts from the zero s car part numbers
Sak-08 and then outdrives sak09.

Or a place that has the stock outdrives? Since i cant seem to find em

According to 3racing website you can use sak-08 with the diff outdrives (it's listed as an option part for the ultimate,xi).

About the rear end problems:
I spent a whole day trying to solve it with a lot of help from good local racers, nothing helped. At the end of the day I went against the book and added a lot of preload to the rear springs (springs don't go loose even if the wheel is in the air). This raised the rear too much so I ended up setting the required 6mm chassis to ground height with the droop screws. (I know they should not be used for that)
Guess what, the car was perfect, I could go out of the turn with full throttle and the car tracks straight!

Thanks for the tips.. ill need to get to a track more often then once a month to nail down a setup... love my car though.. i had a local help me out and he threw it up on his setup board and made sure it was all even from left to right and front to back amazing how much better the car got with the same droop from left to right lol.

I was also looking for imput from someone that has the option parts installed on their car.

Default Top Speed

I have the car with a hackmoto 15t brushed motor on a 2s lipo 30c. How fast do you think it can go?

What kind of changes should i make to increase the top speed?

Thanks

I have moded up my Sakura S Zero and it goes just as good as any Sakura!!! With a 9t , 110C battery and 120AMP speedy it goes as fast as a Modifeid.
Have now moved on to a Yokomo BD7 and very happy and wouldn't change or swap!!

P.S. Not bagging XI Sport

I run a zero spool and sometimes diff in the front of my ultimate, Heaps stronger than the plastic spool.
The rear end stepping out May be a symptom from the front having to much steering try heavier front springs and a 2deg rear suspension mount. I don't run much droop in the rear at all, maybe 2 - 3 and 4-5 up front I also run short camber links all around an 1mm rear roll centre shims.
4.5 spring on the front and 6.5 at the back.

The xi sport I have is a bit lazier and not as sharp to drive than the ultimate. I run it with the same springs an 0 deg rear suspension mount. Stock roll centre

Put a 6 turn hand wound brushed motor into it. That will make it go crazy fast. Also might want to stand back, incase the lipo explodes.

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours on a local asphalt track and I think I nailed down a good setup for my Ultimate.

Oil: 450 cps all around
Springs: 6T Front - 6,5T Rear (from 3Racing Damper Spring Set #SAK-49)

It feels very balanced and the rear stays in place. I did some small adjustments to droop and a couple of other things, but the springs and the oil change was the most effective.

I hope so, those are the plastic parts for SAK-X15 shocks.
The Ultimate comes with these shocks and i have checked the manual, indeed these shocks have 5.8x10.2 Ball Caps
