Notice how thin the wall of the part where the camber setting pieces go. If you superglue the piece in the place it will be stronger but that whole block needs to be made of alloy.

Well I took the plunge and ordered an FGX and a ton of hop-ups. Can't wait.

Is the chassi upgrade to carbon a must on the FGX or the original company plus IFS is ok

Which are the best online shops for F1 accessories for FGX?

Thanks.

It's been posted, but tqrcracing.com is a great place for the fgx parts. It's my home track too!

Yes but If I glue the whole thing together I loose the option to change the camber settings, and I need this until I find the correct IFS settings for my FGX.

I agree with you, the whole block shall be made of alloy. I guess that 3racing may make this an option part soon.

Yes I did and i found it AWESOME to drive, tested and raced the EGX IFS at the same time, and I was surprised in the difference it made.

I had a hard hit at the front end and cracked the nose top deck, in this mishap I found that putting the 3 racing longer std ballstuds in gave it a bit more strenght in that area as my hit at the front ripped the ballstud out, so may even go longer with nut ( not lock nut as it is to chunky ) and spring washer, we'll see.

I haven't at this stage played with set ups but where it is now is good, just finer adjustments here and there, hopefully i dont need to change much of the set up that i end up with on the EXOTEC IFS.

Some photos at race day, no action shots unfortunatly, Body was just a test with doing a cardon fibre wrap.

The way I see it you could glue the base in with the hole at the 3 outer position and change the top caster plate to get the required deg (same as doing the stock set up change ), I'm trying this out next meeting, or glue the base in place and go the EXOTEC upper arm upgrade to save your own R&D and extra dollars in caster plates, and for ease of set up changes also.

Just some ideas for thought

I guess that's what I ended up with. I can still adjust the camber with the exotek upper arms.

I had to polish the aluminum ball hinge with sand paper a lot to make the exotek upper arms work smoothly with the IFS. Now I actually have 1.0 ~ 1.5 mm droop at the front.

It is time for me to get a carbon fiber chassis, any opinions on which one is the best?

I just got my first wave of hop ups for my FGX which should be here next week, one of them was the OEM CF chassis which looks very nice.
